Driver Boards

These are driver boards meant for use with microcontrollers (or other sources). Some are designed for piggy-backing a certain microcontroller.

Blake I/O Driver Board

The Blake I/O Driver Board

Made for connecting to a generic microcontroller (off board) or just regular inputs like buttons etc. 

Features:

  • 8 outputs – should use logic level MOSFETs (solenoids etc.)
  • 9 inputs – from switches, microcontroller etc.
  • Pulldown resistors on all outputs.
  • Zener diodes to protect back-voltage (never 100% safe)
  • LED on each channel for determing if an output is high
  • Test switch on output 8 – forces the logic level high

Note: Available in non-populated form (pcb only, user sources the parts)


Avon Pinball Driver Board

Made for piggy-backing the U-HID microcontroller from Ultimarc.

Features:

  • 19 outputs – should use logic level MOSFETs (solenoids etc.)
  • 27 inputs – from switches etc.
  • Pulldown resistors on all outputs
  • Zener diodes to protect back-voltage (never 100% safe)
  • LED on each channel for determing if an output is high

Note: Used on the Astro Attack! game (cancelled)
